APM 2.5+minimosd+telemetry - Still need 900MHz downlink?

Guys,

I'm new here so let me ask stupid question(s)  :)

I have APM 2.5 hooked up to 3DR telemtry (915MHz)

Recently I got the 3DR minimosd and the split telemetry cable to be able to support both.

Also I plan to have 5.8GHz video Rx/Tx (FPV - foxtech HoryzonHD 1080p cam) and their new goggles as well.

   The question:

Can I eliminate the 915Mhz telemetry Tx/Rx antennas and "ride" on the 5.8MHz video tx/rx.

If so, how, maybe a digaram/link?

    Help

Thanks

  • No. The telemetry kit is half duplex, your video tx/rx is simplex only. For a person that is very skilled when it comes to electronics, it's possible to make a modem and encode the serial link into audio channel, or after hsync. And, like I said before, that would be one way only.
