Hi,
Is there a way to connect the telemetry port of a APM 2.6 Arducopter to a FrSky D8R-XP receiver. I found http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-frsky-telemetry/ which shows how to connect a pixhawk to a D4R-II and a link on how to use a Mavlink to connect a APM 2.6 to a X8R S. port but as far as I am aware the D8R-II doesn't have this port.
Thanks
Matt

On the side of your D8R-XP you'll find the Rx/Tx/GND pins for the FrSky telemetry. The connection is exactly as for the D4R-II.
Hi,
That's what I thought but reading the page I found http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-frsky-telemetry/ there is a part which says :-
"This feature is only officially supported on the Pixhawk (running AC3.2 or higher) but there is a DIY solution for the APM2.x here."
Which points to the page discussing the mavlink and the s. port. I have a FTDI rs232 to ttl , so I will give it ago.
Thanks
Matt
Hi Matt,
The "DIY solution for the APM2.x" is a no go for me.
I can't get the Arduino Mini Pro to compile and nobody wants to help me so far.
