APM 2-Axis Stabilization Gets Turned Around

I recently added a 2-Axis Stabilized mount to my 3DR Quad.  I have an APM 2.5 with uBlox GPS.  When I takeoff and fly straight the mount works great and the camera stays level.  If I rotate the quad 180 degrees the mount works backwards, it comensates in the wrong direction in both axis.  If I only rotate 90 degrees it does something in between.  I've only been flying in Simple Stabilized mode so far.  Are there only certain modes meant to be used with the camera stabilization?  Any ideas?

  • No problem, this is an easy one. The default parameters are for all 3 axises. I assume you have roll and pitch, so you need to disable the yaw(pan). Well in the parameter list it is still yaw, in the Camera Gimbal menu it's pan. If pan is not disabled then the gimbal controller thinks that the camera is stabilized in yaw when it's not. So everything gets flipped backwards, or in between. It's controlling a camera in a fixed pan direction, but that's not the case, the gimbal pan is fixed to the frame which is rotated 180 degrees, or backwards ;-)
