I have an Arudplane and use the mission planner via an Xbee link. When I replay a tlog file the aircraft symbol at the centre of the Map display shows a current heading that seems to bear little relationship to the GPS track and sometimes shows I am flying backwards. Anyone know what this means as I can assure you that I do not fly backwards at all!
I am trying to tune the loiter mode and so far I am not getting on very well and the airplane flies a series of circles that tighten up at the end before the next one starts - as a result the circle centre moves in a straight line. I have not yet downloaded the mission file. Any other suggestions as to how I can debug what is going on?

I am flying an Ursus http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1325273&highlig... 2.2m span and quite slow. I have adjusted the PID values to get it flying in stabilise and FBW using the regular tuning process you have linked to Chris. In RTL it seems to be a bit random as to what it does so I decided to try Loiter.

Have you gone through the regular tuning process (FBW, TRL, etc)? What aircraft are you flying?
