APM IMU axis?

In which direction should the APM be installed to get correct imu readings. Servo connectors pointing forward or backward?

I think this information should be added in the manual. (If it's not already in there)

    There's an arrow on the bottom of the IMU shield, but I agree we should make it clearer (or even clear at all!) in the manual. Darren is correct: RC cables to the rear, GPS port to the front.

    Is this a really stupid question or is the answer a well kept secret? :) Other posts get answered but this is left unanswered...

    I really need to know this before i move on to install it in my plane.
