I'm trying to use a PS3 controller to control the X-plane simulator model. I have enabled the controller in the Mission Planner and started the simulation. However, the Mission Planner is constantly sending out a deflection to the control surfaces in X-Plane causing the aircraft to be difficult to control because my joystick would have to counteract the deflection from the APM. The APM is running the airplane simulator firmware.
According to the Simulator window, the Ardupilot Output is -0.750 for Roll, Pitch and Yaw with me not touching the joysticks.. The only one that is behaving accurately is the Throttle at 0.0 default position. I have tried calibrated the joystick using the Windows Game Controller settings but doesn't change anything. Why is APM constantly deflecting the Pitch, roll, yaw at -0.750? The joystick control behaves perfectly and there are no issues with calibration when the APM and Mission Planner are left out of the loop.
