APM2.5 won't connect to mission planner with RC receiver attached

Would anyone be able to comment on why I can't get the Mission planner to connect to my APM 2.5 board with the RC Receiver attached. I can connect by usb and 3dr radio link without the receiver attached, Thanks.

I found that the USB voltage would drop too low with the receiver attached, likewise with the 3dr link. I think that I also saw this when I used esc power so I got a programmable bec and set it for 5.1 v. That fixed it.

Check if JP1 shorting link is plugged. Power your receiver with 5v BEC, even then if it does not get through then check visually, the power section of the APM 2.5 under en-lighted lens and also check with multimter.
