Arducopter Gyro Roll values and funky Artificial Horizon + Clunky Turnigy Motors == frown?

Can anyone tell me acceptable values for Gyro Roll when my craft is sitting on the table?

 

Can you explain the following Artificial Horizon?

I assume between this and my Turnigy motors that go "clunk clunk clunk" every once and a while its no wonder I dumped my craft on the ground today.

Should I be in plus mode or X mode? does it matter?

    I have one motor that makes the same sort of noise. It glitches every now and again and creates excessive vibration. I have found a UK source for what looks like exactly the same motor and have one on order.

    The artificial horizon should be pretty steady. Please tell us more about your setup so we can help.

     

    --Did you go through entire Configurator setup process, including initializing the EEPROM?

    --Did you calibrate your accelerometer offsets so they the sensors are showing zero?

    --What version of the code are you using?

    --Are you using a magnetometer and did you calibrate that?
