ArduCopter headace!

I am trying to setup my Arucopter Quad , I have loaded all the code needed through thr new APM planner but nothing seems to work correctly, the Planner stop working and sends a error report ever now and then , I calibrate the ESCs Automaticlly and manually and all the beeps are in Sync but when trying to fly all motors spin at right rate except the motors behind the front.! its dead doesnt move , then I unplug it from the PCB board plug it into the Rx and it works fine.

It cant be a problem with wiring as it gets signal and doesnt beep after intial start up, the rest works fine If i move the copter while the other 3 motors are spinning they compensate correctly but the back motor is dead still .

any idea?

  • Try swapping ESC to different output ch's,  Try them one at a time, check the motor and power connections.

Please update the Planner to the latest version (there's a new one out today).

If one motor isn't working, it's almost certainly a wiring issue. First, check the APM output on that port by connecting a servo there instead of the ESC, so you can see the output. If that works, that means that the wiring problem in on the cable or power distribution board.

Just narrow it down and you'll find it.

Did you make your own kit or buy it preassembled?
  • Johan, when you connect you battery, be sure to have all the signal wires disconnected from the APM until APM has booted and have a solid Red Led (GPS Lock) and flashing green LED (Awaiting Motor Arming) then connect your signal wires and arm motors! Let me know how it goes
