Ardupilot 2.6 - terminal

Dear all,

I'm a new member and I'm in theconfiguration phase of my quadcopter.

I try connect to the apm (via direct cable - no telemetry)via the terminal but the display is full of caballistic characters and unreadable!

Even with Mission planner or via putty (or other terminal clients).

Do you have an idea?

    Mike thank you very much!

    I was wrong with the connect button (even after the close connection , the connect apm operation will display cabalistic characters in the terminal)!

    It's so simple, I'm so annoyed ! ;-)

    1. Close out of Mission Planner

    2. Plug in USB cable to your pc and connect it to the APM

    3. Open Mission Planner

    4. Do not hit the Connect button

    5. Click on Terminal tab

    6. Click on drop down box in upper right to select the correct COM port

    7. Do not click on the Connect button

    8. Click on "Connect APM" in the upper left corner
