Hey! We are currently trying to implement an obstacle avoidance as well but are in need of a working code. Have you tried to add a new flight mode, example <collisoin_avoidance>? We are using the PixHawk. The coding is giving us trouble. There is a nice list of instruction on how to add the new flight mode as well as parameters and such on the ArduCopter website. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated

No one has implemented avoidance. It would be pretty trivial to do, but hard to support across numerous configs.
Have at it if you feel up to it.
