My question is how well does the latest version of the Ardupilot Mega handle smaller airframes? I've only been seeing the ArduPilot used on larger/medium sized rc planes like the Easy Star.
Is it able to control a smaller airframe well enough?
Also how well does it do flying wings like the combat wings from Hobby Lobby or Hobby People?

APM can be used in any craft (copter or plane) that can take the extra mass without the CG being dangerously moved.
The CG you can guestimate by looking at the model but for the extra mass put the numbers into the spreasheet.
