ArduStation LCD screen not lighting up

We ahve succesfully loaded the code to the ardustation and our buad rates match.  When we power the station with an adequate voltage source the LCD screen does not give a readout even when we checked and it is recieveing power through our female pin connectors.  Any ideas?

    Did you adjust the pots for the screen? I didn't see anything until I did that.

    Did you make it so the LCD is removable? I would take pictures of the boards and attach seen as this is a kit we need some visuals.
