Are Electronic Fuel Injectors a must for any rc gas plane going upto 5000m.?

Hi Friends I wnated to discusss if Electronic Fuel Injectors a must for any rc gas plane going to high altitude(say upto5000m from 1500m). In second WW there were no fuel injectors and I am sure the plane flew pretty high. So why is this a compulsion today.?

In the second WW, the Germans were using fuel injection in their aircraft. However, it is not a must for high altitude flying. Getting more oxygen into an internal combustion engine is the real problem at high altitudes.
