Attention Skywalker Builders...Hinged control surfaces??

I was wondering what all of the Skywalker builders are doing with the hinged control surfaces.  As you can see from the picture below my EPO version cracks on the hinged area.  Are builders using plastic hinges or taping this area?

 

 

Any direction would be appreciated.

    Hi Adam,

    My recreational RC's that are EPO. I use the GWS nylon hinge, instead of sticking with the EPO/Elapor hinges. Some guys I know use 3M Blenderm.

    On my EasyStars, I cut the hinge joints and use Du-bro nylon hinges just like I do with my other models.

    Since the weather here can change from one extreme to another in one day, I felt safer using commercial hinges that worrying about cracking or splitting of the foam joints.
