I soldered a 180amp AttoPilot v & c sensor; measured the input voltage to APM 2.5 (10v); input 10v into the MP > configuration screen. I also entered 5000 for the 5000mah 3S LIPO.
The result I'm getting is around 25v. It should be arround 12v..
Is there something else I need to do?

Any update on your issue? There is no way you're going to fly with 10v powering the APM - it would burn up..
If you have set up your power system in the typical fashion, you should have a connector coming from your power dist. board that is a back-feed coming from one of your ESC's that give ~5 volts to power your APM.. You subtract 0.3 volts and enter the new value in the MP sensor screen (at 5.0 volts, enter 4.7 in MP) - That should get you just about there..
Some people need to adjust the volt/amp ratio in the param screens to tweak the readings.. Not entirely sure why it isn't automatic, but 'tis life...
The value you enter should be around 5V, not 10V. Measure between the + and - on the row of sensor input connectors and subtract 0.3V. This is the value you enter.
