Auto Take Off Question!?

Hello,

I got my plane working good, FWBA works , RTL works , Loiter works. These are the only modes I use right now.

I am interested in auto take off. Do I have to setup a full mission for auto take off or can I just set mission to take off alone without any waypoints? If so, what happens are it reaches its altitude and there is no waypoints after ?

    Ok I set it. But when I engage auto mode, the motor does not come on at all.

    I just want to confirm that its because it has no gps signal? I test it in side my house, just to see what it would do.

      It makes sense that auto will not engage without a GPS lock, but I never tried.
      The other thing you could try is making the 2nd command a Loiter_Unlimited using the Add Below button, then change the command type to Loiter. Make sure there is no coordinates entered so it will work anywhere.

        Yeah thats exactly what I want. To be able to autotake off anywhere, without worrying about setting back up WP for each location I fly at.

        I will test again when I can get some GPS signal. If I run into problems i'll post back here.

    You can just set up a takeoff command and it will RTL once it reaches altitude.

    Or could I go with takeoff command to a unlimited loiter? Then when it's loitering take over back in FBWA?

    Is that possible ?
