I have a question/suggestion, and it involves an auto trimming function. After briefly looking over the code and reading a manual, it appears that the trim values need to be recoded each attempt, even though you keep the values used for the controls in RAM, meaning updating it should not be a problem.
What I suggest is simply reading the controls being sent in manual mode up until the moment the AC is switched to autopilot. This would allow retrimming in the air, as well as the ability to trim to different steady state conditions (ie trim values to any speed/orientation desired),
