Hi all, this is my summer project to build a UAV Glider that can fly to a given location from an altitude of 100,000 feet carrying a data drive payload. We are currently in the design phase, I will try and update this weekly. Let me know what you think

What's the downside to giving it a bigger wingspan? Or maybe the wings could pop out once it's falling to give it more stability with less drag on the way up.
Paul Mather,
Very good observation, in fact early testing (no stabalization system) has showed extreme desire to roll, The APM has channel mixing for elevon control though and i believe that with no motor torqueing it and a constant elevon control from APM it should stabalize. Anyone have further thought/experience? it would be greatly appreciated
Should work, this is the one that largely inspired me to start this whole AP adventure

and this is the only commercial system I know of http://www.gpsboomerang.com/
Good luck with your project.
