Bad AHRS

Attached are the logs of a power up with "Bad AHRS" message. It usually clears but this time it did not. This is a new Pixhawk direct from 3DR and has never been flown.

What should I do to resolve this message?

Do I have something configured incorrectly?

Is it safe to fly?

I have 3.3.0 airplane firmware loaded.

I posted an issue here: https://github.com/diydrones/ardupilot/issues/3179

  • Hi i have a the same error it says Bad AHRS and i cannot arm Plane  v3.4.0 i tried recalibrating acc, tried redoing the compass calibration and rebooted i still cant arm the motors does anyone have new info on this ?

    • i went back to 3.3.0  and the bad AHRS is gone

      • This must be fixed asap and it's taking too long. I just wonder why there isn't much more people complaining about the same problem...

  • Is it normal that one has to recalibrate pixhawk's acceleremoters two or 3 times everyday you want to fly to make AHRS disappear?

I mean, with my APM 2.5 it needs a serious crash to something abnormal to happen, but Pixhawk it's just too damn sensitive.
If APM 2.x wasn't discontinued and soon to have no more new firmwares in the future.

So Pixhawk is a little disappointment. Are there any news of some Pixhawk II, more robust I hope, to come out soon?

An accel calibration again has solved that msg for us, also the Pixhawk/plane must be kept absolutely still for 10-15 secs after boot otherwise that msg pops up
