Hello,
today i went flying with a friend of mine in order to teach him the basics of multicopter flying. He flew around a little bit and when the lipo alarm began buzzing (3.2 V) i told him to switch to RTL mode on
the remote. The quad went home and about 6 to 10 meters above the ground (while landing) it suddenly started spinning around and crashed immediately into the hard ground : (. Two of the motors are damaged and the frame is also a total loss. Bevor i start any repair attempt i wanted to make sure what happened. Would you please take a look at the log file? For me one of the motors seems to have a problem but i cannot read anything more than this from the file. Could you verify this and find something out?
Thank you so much
André

I've not looked at your logs yet, but it sounds like it ran out of power before it landed.
I've had this a few times. I have now set the LiPo alarm trigger voltage higher, and generally manually land it rather than RTL - which usually needs to climb first, wasting the remaining power.
Hey Alan D, thank you!
oh sorry - he rest of my answer got lost. I wrote (besides thank you) that it would be grate if you could take a look at the file for me. I do not want to make a rebuild without knowing a little bit more. The battery still had 3.4 Volts on the ground (without the copter draining power). Shouldn't the props stop spinning when there is now power left? When it hit the ground they were still spinning ...
thank you!
P.S: This was my first really hard crash. Is there some kind of self test i can do with my apm?
