Baro seems to have failed...-70mil feet

note: I hope I have put this in the right place

Do not know what has happened. But this last time I powered up the GCS the ardupilot is is showing -70.xxx mil feet. When I look at the raw data, it reads -7.04555E

It had properly indicated prior to this last power up.

I have tried reset....exiting GCS and restarting it......It appears to be stuck at this reading.

Is there something I am missing here or has the baro unit failed??

I received the ardupilot fully assembled and in a plastic case.  During set up I have probably powered it up 10+ times. Is it possible a assembly solder joint has failed and if so where should I look.

I sure am glad it happened on the ground....That might have been a wild ride... max pwr to gain alt!

Thanks for any input in advance

  • Went into the CLI and did a eeprom erase and a factory reset and the baro altimeter seems to be functiioning ok now.

Different question.    Is these a way to reset (calibrate) the altitude to reflect the current pressure at the area you are operating.....Same way full scale planes do?
