Beginner Needs Help adding GPS to AR Drone.

 Hello to all,

 

 I am totally new to all this but from what i have read i can buy a 2 Xbee pros with 1 board and a GPS unit so i can just get GPS info and cordinates to my laptop? What kind of software do i need? i have no programming Experience. also Exactly what do i have to buy? Obviously none of this setup will link with the AR drone Electronics.
