Sentera Phoenix Autonomous Drone

I have for sale a Sentera Phoenix.  This is a fully autonomous drone with a dual sensor on the belly that shoots RGB and NIR simultaneously.  Each sensor has a 64 GB sd card installed.

The plane is controlled by Virtual Cockpit software on the Dell Laptop picture.  You create a flightplan by dragging and dropping boundaries and adjusting overlap, height, turning radius etc.  Its really a slick machine.  WIll fit almost any needs of someone who wants to cover large areas quickly and extremely accurately.  I used it for Agriculture scouting, using a stitching software to get 1 incredibly detailed image of a very large area.

This product is completely backed by Sentera, out of Minnesota.  You can visit their website sentera.com to see their lineup and prices on parts etc. They also have several free software packages out.  You can also buy different sensors to go on this fixed wing.

Everything pictured comes with... 4 lipo batteries, each one giving about an hour of flight time.  2 chargers, one for your car, one for the office... 2 field kits. Inside are spare motors, props, nose cone, tools.  Pretty much every part you would need to replace and tools to replace them.  Each kit retails around $1000.  Each Battery Retails New at $600.

There is no damage on the plane other than a few scratches and dings, which make no difference as far as operating it goes.  The body is made of carbon fiber and the wings are kevlar..so they are ridiculously strong and resilient  .  The tape you see is what i put on when i first got it just to keep those areas free from damage as they are the spots which take the most impact on landing.

This system retails around $22,000. That is without all the extra batteries, field kits...

I was in charge of the drone operation at our business, and am now moving away and no one is interested in taking over.. so I am looking for a new home for this drone.  It really is an amazing machine, and am willing to deliver pretty much anywhere in the US and will stay and teach you how to use it and get the most out of the software included.

I am asking $12,000, but willing to listen to offers.  I need to get this thing moved ASAP.  Remember I will personally deliver this and help get you through the initial questions and setup, making sure your comfortable with the system.

  • is this still for sale?

    • Yes! Still for sale.  I just updated firmware and and flew a mission yesterday to keep it updated and ready to go.

      Where are you located?

      • i an located in Nacogdoches, Texas
What was you typical mission using your Phoenix.   What software are you using?

        • My typical mission was an 80-100 acre field flown at 200-400 feet with 55-75% overlap depending on wind conditions.  It is programmed to fly at 33 mph (air speed).

As for software.  Are you meaning the software to fly it? Or the post processing software? I have used pix4d for stitching the images.  I have also used MapsMadeEasy, which is a pretty slick and inexpensive way to stitch imagery.  At the moment I am using Sentera's own AgVault software.  AgVault is more of a complete system for managing many fields and customers.

What would be your application for the imagery?
