I have spent some time searching the forums, but am unable to find any CAD files for the Arduino/Ardupilot and associated boards.

I've seen Sandro's amazing work in lightwave, and Jani's excellent Ardu Copter design which prompted me to search.

Firstly, do they exist here?

Secondly, if they don't, does anyone feel 3d models would be an advantage when designing their UAVs?

If so, I would be happy to help put together a library of boards, add ons, servos etc. that are commonly used, and I am able to convert IDF files to a number of common CAD formats.
