Question,

On mapping missions do you leave the camera on Auto , or do you set a specific shutter.

I have an Sony A6000 with a 20mm lens , i did set the focus on endless but not sure if i should leave the camera on shutter priority or on auto.

I am able to get the camera out of the plane but it's not as easy as 123 to change it every time.

Thanks.

  • I'd rather not set the camera on Auto, I'd set it to the minimum shutter speed you need to get images not affected by forward motion blur (which depends on the flight speed of your plane) and dial in aperture and ISO accordingly. I try to keep an aperture near 5.6 set with the Sony 20 mm lens (this seems to be its sweet spot) and ISO as low as possible (100 if possible). But you can't have everything at once :o)

    Good luck, Jorre
