Not sure if this has been addressed yet, but If the RTH and/or position hold or any other auto mode is active when you arm the system, immediately after arming, the copter will attempt to fly away. In my case, it was directly at me and unfortunately I was injured. (I was wearing a full face helmet and a heavy coat at the time, but my hand was unprotected). It could have been worse, but it definitely left a mark. Worst injury I've had in 10 years of RC helicoptering.

This was with one of the very first alpha releases.

  • YEAH happened to me twice now ....

Both times my Hexa shot in to the air and then came down from a great height at full throttle.  All over in a few seconds before I realized what I had done.

All my fault - should have run through a pre flight check and not had it in RTL on startup.  HOW DID I DO IT TWICE !!!!

Adding something to the code would ne a great idea, these things don't take prisoners when they hit you.

I wasn't hurt on these occasions but have recently drawn blood on six occasions - sometimes quite badly.

I too have flown helis for years and the threat is different with a heli.  It isn't dangerous until the main rotor is up to speed.

With the props they are lethal in a split second.

I need to show my Hexa more respect ........
