Changing flight modes with ApmPlanner

Hello! :-)

  I want to change the flight modes via de applanner without the use of the rc system, Is this possible? I want this, because I want to have all the 8 channels of the RC system free.

    Yes, but it is harder to switch out to manual in time, even with a mode switch, and next to impossible where timeliness is important using the mouse...

    The main flight page has drop down boxes to change modes, and you can also change modes with other mavlink-based GCS software, like mavproxy.
