If ch 7 is set up to initiate RTL, what happens to RTL mode when the ch 7 switch is switched back after being used to enter RTL?If the switch is left in RTL position, can the 3 position mode switch be used to return to stabilized mode?Manual was unclear on these points.

I too can verify that the flight mode switch will override the Ch_7 RTL. I know this because I watch a hexacopter plunge 300ft while returning home. The flight mode switch was switched to the loiter position so that the copter would be in Loiter when CH_7 RTL was switched off. The throttle was also at zero, and the copter immediately went into loiter mode and fell out of the sky. I am aware that there is a bug in the firmware that causes the motors to stop if you switch to a flight mode where the throttle is controlled by the autopilot and the throttle is down. We should not have had the throttle at zero regardless...lol. I am of the opinion that if a CH_7 RTL is initialized, the flight mode switch should be ignored until the CH_7 RTL is cancelled by the pilot. While in CH_7 RTL, the flight mode switch should be able to be switched to the desired position so that once the pilot cancels the CH_7 RTL, the copter will be in the desired flight mode. Does anyone have any thoughts about this arrangement?
When you turn off RTL, whatever flight mode was used before RTL becomes active. While in RTL and you switch flight modes, causes RTL to stop and flight mode to take over. This is what I remember, but I would give it a test to be sure. I'm a 100% sure about the turning off RTL returning to flight mode, since I did this yesterday, when my RTL flew over my head because of strong winds.

How did you set channel 7 to initiate RTL? It's easy for me on my Arducopter, but I don't find the same selection for my Plane.
