City restrictions?

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering what the restrictions are regarding UAV operation within city limits. This may well vary from city to city ... being new to this field (don't even own a UAV yet) I don't have a clue, and doing a search here (regarding cities) didn't return much.

If you have information/experience, or can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate the help.

    No, cities do not normally have control over the airspace above them.  It is the jurisdiction of the FAA.

    I believe some cities/minicipalities are attempting to develope bylaws restricting activity, but alot of this is in flux right now.
