com port

Hello,Does anybody know how to change the com port to 5 or higher on the computer?. Mine says com 3 and it needs to be 5 or higher

    I am running windows XP. I went to the down load the FTDI drivers but what do I down load from the page? and where is it on the page?.

    I am using the ardu hardware, software, cabel, ubox GPS and the instruction manual. In using ardruino I open up the tools and the com port says it should be 5 or higher. I am trying to load the software to the board.

    yes I see systems and open it, then hardware and there is no com port in the list.

    I am running windows but I do not see device manager in the control panel.

    Are you using Windows? If so, go to device manager in the control panel, then ports, properties, port settings, advanced settings. You can change the port number there.
