  • Of course you can if your Tx can be programmed to trigger/link the retract channel from the ArduPilot mode channel. To know for sure, study your Tx manual. If such function is absent on your Tx, switch to another one with more programming functions.
    A DIY solution may be to link your retract servos directly to the ArduPilot mode channel on the Rx (together with ArduPilot). But this will certainly imply programming the Rx too to have proper retract servo courses with the right ArduPilot mode.
    Forgot to add that your plane will look strange when your landing gear goes up and down on every autopilot mode change... Most of the time, the descent from cruising/autopilot altitude down to the final landing approach is made in full manual mode. But a nice plane will get its gear down just before final.
