So my apm2.0 dropped form the sky when i found that my failsafe was set to cut throttle at loss of signal----OOPS. The APM2.0 did not impact directly, but the GPS antenna was yanked right from the board breaking the traces but looked recoverable. I thought I got them all repaired but no sat lock.
There are 3 solder points on the back of the GPS, one in each corner and one in the middle, it is obvious that the corner ones solder to the corresponding points on the GPS, but it looks like the center solder point is not soldered anywhere, does it need to be connected to something?
Is there a board layout that i can verify from?
how can I troubleshoot? ( 3d fix blue light is flashing )
thanks in advance

I have come to the conclusion that the GPS has been damaged. I have another mediatek 3329 gps from quadroufo on a different breakout board. I am thinking of removing it and replacing the gps on the apm2 daughterboard or possibly using the aux gps port.
Before I do anything, I keep hearing that the firmware is specific to the apm2 and unless something is changed even the same GPS module wont work. can someone please assit me in getting my GPS back working again.
Enclosed is a pic of the two modules, and i do have a 6 wire cable with a connector on one end to plug into the GPS port should that make a difference.
Some personal assistance getting back up and running would be more than appreciated.
thnx

Hi Paul,
The 3 backside solders are GND and are not responsible for the troubles, but you need to check again carefully with a magnifying glass the front solders.
The SCH and PCB Eagle files you can find here - http://stuff.storediydrones.com/APM_v2_Eagle.zip
