I have not had any compass problem so far but when I checked logs I saw MAG_FIELD value slightly above 550. Wiki (http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-diagnosing-problems-using-logs/) indicates "the length of the mag_field can be anywhere from 120 ~ 550 depending upon where in the world the vehicle is but it is normally around 330"
So I tested with a gps/compass mast mount but the value did not change significantly/consistently. Disabling external compass and using internal increase mag_field up to 650. Researching the internet I found that people refer to MAG_FIELD=550 as expected +/-30% tolerance for Pixhawk (and 330 from APM).
So anyone can help me and confirm what is the expected "normal" value for MAG_FIELD when using Pixhawk with external compass? My compass is on an elevated plate, far from PDB and Battery cabling, closest ESC 15+ cm. Flying in the UK / South East part.
Thanks,

Ignore this, it appears that this specific part of Wiki is incorrect.
Pre-arm page on wiki says expected 530. (http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/flying-arducopter/prearm_safety_ch...)
