configuring Spektrum DX5/DX8 with pixhawk

Hello,

I am new to the hobby, and I have been trying to setup the radio calibration using the Mission Planner the past week with no luck. This is what I have at my disposal:

  • DX5 and a DX8 transmitters.
  • DSM-X and DSM-2 remote receivers.

I have connected the DSM remote receivers to the dedicated port on the Pixhawk. The issue is that when I initiate the binding process, a window prompts telling me to put the transmitter in bind mode, which I do but nothing happens.

    https://pixhawk.org/peripherals/radio-control/spektrum_dsm scroll down to the bottom where it says d5-dx8 radios.. ..

    see i want to use a satallite too and im going to try this when i get my pixhawk.. so follow that procedure and let me know what happens..

      Hello James,

      Thanks for posting this. It seems to bind fine using the QGroundControl software. However, I still can't get it to work using the Mission Planner, and I don't know why.
