  • No, I have not.

  • Hi,

I am not qualified to answer your question, however I was in IT, and lately I have been combing the blogs for related info, thinking that there may be a way to use non-traditional remote control devices with a quadcopter (i.e., something other than the typical hand-held RC radio plus on-aircraft receiver).

I see that you found this 2010 thread with several participants: http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/connect-a-futaba-fasst-7c-tx?comm.... (and indirectly, this thread may be useful: http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/number-of-channels-for-drone)

  • Desktops can be made of many different materials.  The one I'm using now is wood, so I would suggest using wood screws.

However, there are also metal, stone, and even glass desktops.  You may want to consult the literature for suggestions on the proper connectors to use for joining a plastic unit to the respective material.

Another alternative you may want to investigate, in lieu of a connector, is some sort of adhesive.  Again, consult the literature or product instructions to determine suitability for your particular intended use.
