Connection issue on 3.0.1 - 23 packets received but no parameter packets received - Discussions

Folks,

I've lost the ability to connect to my quad with the xbee (not xbee problem)

It was working fine then next flight it refused to connect with the message "23 packets received but no parameter packets where received" [sic]

Connection via USB is fine.

I have done a echo between the two xbees and they work fine. I can connect to some extent with QGroundControl but it too is acting odd. It can connect and see the armed state, battery voltage etc but fails when trying to get the param list. The HUD in QGC is also dead.

I've reflashed with 3.0.1 (did not do an erase though)

I'm on holiday in Italy with minimal kit so at a loss as to what to try and filming of the country side is slipping away... :(

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

This is most probably a cable issue. Transmit is not working from the GCS to the MAV. Hence no data rate requests are getting through. Check your cables, and check the Xbee seating in their adapters.

I had a problem with my 3DR radio today similar symptom, but just flexing the board made it work. Its a dry joint I need to locate. I should treat the radio with a little more respect in future ;-)
