Is it possible to control the progression of a waypoint mission though an RC channel? So the knob at 50% and the quad will fly to 50% mark in the mission?

Currently autonomous mission mode is controlled by location, time and distance indications only with the following caveat.
If you use the loiter unlimited command you can set the mode back to manual and then back to auto to continue a mission, but I think that is the only current method of interacting with autonomous mission mode.
While I do not think that an analog setting for mission continuation would be a good idea, I do think that toggling a channel would be a useful feature to permit mission continuation after reaching various stop or loiter points.
