Hello,
As i mentioned on the title .. i'm totally new with pixhawk
I need to ask some question that i did not found any answer when i google it.
1. The I2C extender - why i need this ?
2. I saw on some places on the web that there is some GPS ( 3rd gps ) that need to be connected to the GPS and to the I2C ( 2 wire ) - but on some other places i see that the GPS is connected only to the GPC place on the pixhawk.
I have GPS module with 2 wire and can connect it also to the i2c extender - i can't decide if i need to do it or not.
3. there are some more extender that i can' t understand what i should connect to them - like
- SPKT/DSM
- CAN
- ADC 3.3V
- SPI
can someone please explain
4. If i want to connect a camera to my drone that the Pixhawk is on him ( i mean that the Pixhawk is connected to the drone ) - where i need to 'put' that connection between the Pixhawk and the camera ?
Replies
1) If you want extra I2C stuff plugged in (besides the single I2C port for the compass).
2) Most people are using external GPS units that also include an external magnetometer (compass). The 2-wire connector into the I2C port is the compass connector.
The Pixhawk has an internal compass if you prefer (not recommended as primary compass).
3) I believe SPKT/DSM is for special Spectrum-style receivers (?) CAN is for specialized peripherals that most people aren't using right now - future developments (?)
