Hello, I'm new on the Forum.
I got a sonar mounted on my OctoCopter. In Auto Mode navigation, when it approaches to a slope, it doesn't increase its altitude, so it collides with the ground.
Does anyone have this problem? Do you know how to solve?

Please keep in mind that checking verify height only works if you do it BEFORE you make the waypoints. If you check it after, their heights will not change. You can always write a mission in Mission Planner on the PC and save the file for later use by DroidPlanner.
I don't know much about using sonar, but I do know that it will only work below 10 meters or so. This is only really suitable for gently sloping hills. Rougher terrain like mountains or trees are not suitable for navigating with sonar.
I was cheking it after.. Thank you!
There was a setting in MissinPlanner that I just read about 30 minutes ago, but now I can't find it :(
I've been searching in the whole Mission Planner and I didn't find anything. Only a param in the logs "DisSonAlt" that goes to 0 when Auto is activated...
What about checking the box 'Verify Height' in Flight Planner when creating your waypoints? I believe that uses Google Earth to allow the craft to adjust altitude according to the map topology.
mm, thanks. I wanted to do it with the sonar, but I'll try this. It could be even better.
Yep that's it. In Mission Planner above the waypoint list there is a checkbox for verify height. I just started using DroidPlanner today, but it does not have that option :( The trade off is I can fly from my phone or tablet without my pc.
