I just started tuning my new ardupilot in an e-flite apprentice. I got the servo pids tuned up well, but I was flying in a lot of wind so the nav pids seemed hard to tune. I didn't get to experiment a lot, because I ran out of batteries 2 or 3 flights into the nav tuning. Any tips for tuning nav pids? What am I looking for when I test them?
Also, I'd be interested to know what kind of crosstrack settings you guys have set, and what airframe you use, and any anecdotes you have as far as how well it works for you.
