Current / voltage sensor giving weird readings

Hi Guys,

Just popped on a 90a AttoPilot current sensor onto my APM2 based quad rotor which has a 3 cell 2200ma lipo.  As far as I can see everything is hooked up correctly however as soon as I connect the lipos and connect via Mission Planner (over an XBee link) the battery percentage drops steadily from 100% to 0% in a matter of a minute or so.  Obviously this is wrong and I was wondering if anyone could help?  I've measuered the voltage comming from the ESC's @ 5.00v exactly so entered 4.7 as my measured voltage.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers,

Chris

  • I have the same problem were you able to resolve this?
  • Thanks for all the replies, I've tried all of the suggestions and still get the same results.  I've got two batteries, tried both with the same results.  I've measured the voltage out of a newly charged battery and it 12.6 as expected.  Does anyone have any other suggestions please?

Thanks for all of your help so far.

    Cheers,

  • Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the reply - yes I did, I entered 2200 in that box.  The strange thing is, it's not a constant reading i.e. it's not like it's just a bit off, I can see from other posts that some settings need tinkering when you get a slightly off reading but mine just literally counts down from 100% to 0% in about 100 seconds :(  The perscentage changes, but the voltage seems to stay around 8v, it's really weird...

did you enter the battery's capacity in the MP, at the top of the screen?

that might cause the percentage to be off
