Cutting throttle during camera trigger?

Hi all,

Has anyone looked into cutting the throttle ahead of camera trigger?

Some of the commercial mapping UAVs do this to reduce vibration while taking the photos. You can hear them ramp down for a second or two at the trigger waypoints then throttle back up to continue on with the mission.

I was thinking to code the mod for this myself, just checking if there was an existing solution first?

Cheers,

AC.

  • It would be great to have such functionality.

I know Sensefly does it for their drones.

You can easily see it on this video for example:

It will probably help to reduce the vibration !

Its something AttoPilot added 5 years ago. It also holds heading and wings level whilst taking the shot. To stop Nav slewing the image. There was another parameter that let you account for servo trigger time. Ah those were the days ;-)
