  • I know of no tricopter specific paper. Gary's link is excellent and a good place to find the practical aspects.

    Papers on quadrotors are plentiful and should be applicable with adjustments to the equations and functions.

    The kinematics are similar until you toss in an rotating/tilting yaw motor.

    Your question is another reason I think a repository of papers and articles, available to the community, is a good idea. Obtaining permission from authors (and usually the schools they have worked at) is the difficult part.
