I'm in the process of fine-tuning the PID values on acro and stable mode. I'll be flying FPV, and I think I will always fly in stable mode. Thus my question is: is there any point in fine-tuning the acro PIDs? Do they affect stable mode at all?
I have a stock ArduCopter kit with ArduPiratesNG firmware.

but why would you want to tune them with standard kit? they are pretty good
