I have two questions:How do I implement the dropping of the egg? Should I just make a compartment and add a servo to open/close it?Also, I found a thing called Remzibi OSD (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1102975)It comes with gps. Do I need a second gps for the ardupilot?

sorry for broken response but I had to remember what I found this is the last one http://www.com-spec.com/rcplane/index.html
this is all basic rf signal tracking free with gear
RC PLANE, Communications Specialists Inc., RC Plane, Model Airplane Tracking, Model Rocketry Tracki…
Model Aircraft ELT, Transmitters and Receivers for Model Airplane Tracking, Transmitters and Receivers for Model Rocket Tracking
I was thinking of puting a RF tag (like used to track animals) in my plane as a back up just in case it flys away. Very light can signal/track up to 25 miles away for 7 days. Its not cheap about $650 for tag and RF tracking radio but could get your plane and gear back :)
@mark.
how will the GPS in the plane talk to you on the ground, it is either through your OSD or a telemetry modem which displays the info on GCS( ground control system,) BTW Ublox is good choice but difficult to find , I am looking for it too.
Hi,
I already asked a similar question on AP main page. My goal is simply to take pictures.
Nobody answered until now. Nobody answered clearly even before when this was asked from other people.
It seems that there is some embarassment :D. Is this breaking a rule?
By the way, why not just eating your egg for breakfast instead of trying to drop food around? And if you plan to drop food to people in need of it, drop something that can sustain the crash...
First, you must realize that typical egg that can be lifted by EasyStar has 10m incapacitation radius. In most combat zones polluted with heavy electronic jammers, the GPS accuracy will be 25m plus navigational accuracy add some 15m plus the drift during ballistic drop will add another 20-40m from altitudes like 200m AGL.
This would be very imprecise, inefficient weapon.
