Elevation Graph for more than 70KM

HI,

We are doing a test flight for more than 30mi, (15mi both ways). But we wanted to check the Elevation graph in the mission planner but we were getting the message that the distance is too big or too low waypoints.

We have added multiple waypoints to eliminate this cause, but we are still getting the message. We tried few waypoints, but the message was the same. 

We would like to know how can we fix it to get the elevation graph if more than 30mi ?

    Elie - What you are proposing is a dangerous (and likely illegal) flight. Do NOT do it.

    Keep your aircraft within visual line of sight.

      HI Philip, 

      They will fly over unmanned area only, there are only pipelines there, but if there is leaking, they can see it using a Flir Camera. It will save time and money.

        Carefully check the flight regulations in your area. Likely your proposed flight is illegal. If so, do not do it. Follow the rules and regulations. 

        Fly safely.

          HI Philip, 

          Already there are flying their cessna and now they want to use the UAV. They have the area legalized for them.

            Ah Africa that's where I am just spoke to a chap using a push pull Cessna to survey with a Lidar and he is being paid $1 a hectare!!!

    You can use "srtm" module from MissionPlanner source-code and prepare elevation graphs as long and as dense - as you need.

      HI Marek, 

      Can you please guide us how to do it or help us to do it, because we don't know how and it is very urgent for us. 

      We need to keep using the Google Hybrid map or Bing Hybrid Map but we need to get the elevation graph from the srtm.

        Latest version of MissionPlanner have already elevation graph based on srtm module (in case when Google altitude is not available), but still 50 km limit is present.

        Only change you need is to replace "50000" in  ElevationProfile.cs line 186 to value you need and compile MissionPlanner.

          I am not an expert in Visual Studio or compiling, can you help me to do it or do you know anyone who did it before or can help me also?
