EM406A on 5v

It has been pointed out that the signal output voltage from the EM406A is TTL level, Output voltage level: 0V ~ 2.85V RS-232 level. The input voltage for a ATMega328 is specified as 0.2Vcc for low and 0.6Vcc for high, so operated on 5v it requires max 1v low and min 3.0v high.Is this going to be reliable when the output from the EM406A is lower than the high input spec?regards Peter

    Peter,

Good point, however all three of my Ardupilots get a lock after ~30sec and the GPS updates as specified.

I am presently running the Ardupilots off of a slightly discharged (4.96 vdc) NMHi 4 pack. I did get a lock at a 4 pack voltage of 4.5 vdc.

    Regards,
    TCIII
