Hey everyone!
I've got a problem with the Mission Planner software and I was hoping that someone may be able to help.
When I launch the software (I'm currently on 1.1.92) the update process begins as normal and I get the message stating that there's an update available. I click on the update button and the update window opens and after about 10 seconds or so I get an error that states "Error getting update parameters" pops up. If I click through that window the update downloads and the program launches normally with the updated software and the new version showing on the banner bar across the top of the window.
That's alll well and good and everything works normally except that when I close the software and then later open it again the version goes back to 1.1.92 and the update process happens again.
I've tried the manual download of the new version but it won't install over the top of the existing version. The install starts normally and then rolls back.
I've tried to download 1.1.92 and install it over the top of the existing version but the rollback happens there too.
I've tried uninstalling APM off of my computer but it only gets so far and then the rollback happens.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to get past this? I really don't want to reformat my pc to get past this but I can do that if that's what is required.
I can hack through the registry and delete keys, etc, but unless the keys are listed out beforehand I really don't want to hunt and peck my way through.
Oh yeah, I'm running Windows 7 x64.
Thanks!

Thanks again for all of your help; I really appreciate it!
I should've mentioned that I looked for tasks running in Task Manager but didn't see any.
In the end I got it to work by doing what you suggested Chris. I went through my pc and deleted everything APM related and then went through the registry and deleted the APM keys. I then rebooted my computer and peeked at Task Manager to be sure nothing was running and then downloaded the newest copy of APM and installed it.
Now everything is up and running and it all appears to be working normally.
Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

Thanks for the replies!
No deal though. I have rebooted the pc a couple of times and have tried updating again and got the same results.
Can't install and can't uninstall.

Hmm. Sounds like there's a version still running in the background. Try going into your task manager and killing any MP threads that may be still running, and try loading it again.
