ESCs don't respond

Hi all. My first post here, but I've been lurking for a while.

Building my first Quad (3dr Quad-C) and have been having a heck of a time. Right now the problem seems to be with two of the 3DR ESCs. I can't get them to calibrate, or even respond to power. When I plug them directly into my battery (4S 2200 mAh) they don't make musical tones, beep, or do anything. They do pass power to the receiver, but that's it.

I emailed 3dr, but I wanted to see if anybody in the community had any suggestions before I send these back.

Try moving the wires around from a motor that works and vice versa and see if the problem moves or stays. This will tell if you have a wiring problem or ESC or motor problem.
